The local schools which border the allotment are a very busy people. Not only do they have a plot on the site, they also worked with the BBC Labs to create some videos.
In 2012 a noteable site for more than one reason. Norman one of the plot holders won the St Mungos Cup, which is awarded to the best plot in Glasgow. Also the site was the winner of the sustainable site trophy as well in 2012. There are two videos of the site from that year, first one is an introduction to the site. The other video is of the gardens famous open day.
What a lovely video, as the story goes it shows a visit to Trinley Brae allotments during the open day event when allotments where included 2011. Pity it was just a one off event, however plenty of sites have their own open days.
Yes l know that l am pushing the boundaries here. That said it rare to come across anywhere a truly gob-smackingly good video, to mention a an excellent song to boot! You might not agree, l write these comments so you will have to accept my opinion.
Whats all the fuss see the Petershill allotment blog, or have a look on you-tube. Either way the entire video was shot on Petershill allotments.
We also have a video of a site we do not know the name of here.
There was plots in Maxwell Drive, in 1964 as this video shows long since gone. Replaced by a modern housing estate sadly.
